So...
Those that are on Dementia Radio chat on Tuesdays, I'm sorry to say, I'll be out with friends tonight. Don't freak out... I've heard "Skipper Dan" already, so it's not like I'm out of the loop! | | Sunday, July 5th, 2009 | | 2:13 pm |
Idea...
I say we let a rabbit host a web show talking about his favorite breakfast foods. We call it "iHop!" | | Wednesday, June 10th, 2009 | | 11:57 pm |
YAY!
Hotel room confirmed! Hopefully I won't get into another wreck, and I'll make it to the con this year! | | Monday, June 1st, 2009 | | 10:55 pm |
Ap-ray (That's "Rap" in Pig Latin) In other news, the music for my Twitter song is coming along pretty nicely. I just need to add a few other things to it to make it sound the way it needs to. I've gotten a handful of 'mock tweets' from one person, and as soon as everyone who wanted to be involved sends something (All 1 of you), I'll throw it all together and compile the epic masterpiece! | | Saturday, May 23rd, 2009 | | 11:04 am |
??????
I was browsing bulletins on Myspace, and happened to chance upon one where someone mentioned that there is a website (I kid you not)... www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com Yes, Cats that look like Hitler. | | Friday, May 22nd, 2009 | | 12:24 am |
Progress!
Just tonight, I went from having 5 new recordings (since the release of "Epic Fail") that take 2:35 to listen to to having 7 recordings that take 5:28 to listen to, meaning I have a full-length song recorded now! I've submitted it to the FuMP Sideshow, and the thing said May 30, if I remember correctly (a week from this Saturday). | | Tuesday, May 19th, 2009 | | 8:46 pm |
I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but...
...if anyone out there has my sanity, I WANT IT BACK NOW!!!!!!!! There are reasons (copyright reasons) why I cannot do this as a studio track and sell it, but I came up with something that peaked my curiosity, and I wonder if I can pull it off for a live performance sometime, and this thought actually scared me. First of all, if you don't know who Richard Cheese is, go ahead and listen to a few tracks of his at http://www.myspace.com/richardcheeseThat being said, explain what on earth prompted me to want to imagine myself doing a Richard Cheese style cover of one of the following two songs... ( Weird videos hidden behind this link )SOMEONE GIVE ME BACK MY SANITY!!!!!! | | Sunday, May 10th, 2009 | | 2:06 pm |
As promised...
Just got done trying out Carrie's "Giant Kitten" like I said I would. One real plus the disk gives is that you've got a decent portion of songs (such as "Sleepwalking Zombies" and "The Last Half Birthday") about general topics, so that someone like me who lives under a rock actually understands them! Joking aside, I actually do know some of the stuff you sang about, and I think you captured those quite well ("Dear Britney" and "Stupid as Charged" were well written). So, I'd have to say that I got quite a bit of enjoyment out of the disk. Looking forward to future efforts. | | Saturday, May 9th, 2009 | | 3:28 pm |
Wow! That was QUICK!
What did you DO, FIDIM Interactive? Send my shipment on a jetpack? I only ordered Wednesday night, and I already got the CD's in the mail today! So, I now have a copy of the Baldbox album and the new Carrie Dahlby CD "Giant Kitten." I have yet to listen to Giant Kitten, but when I do, I'll let you know what I think. Baldbox made me laugh, which is apparently more than they expected(?) Favorite track was 76 Sad Trombones. I don't know what it is, but something about dumb stuff really draws me in, y'know? So, for someone like me, that CD will probably get addicting! Also got the MP3 downloads of Luke Ski's "Target:Audience" from his website. The cool thing about that album is that I understood a good portion of it, and the parts that referenced things I was not familiar with were pretty catchy. Great job, Luke, you've done it again! Alright, I'm done reviewing CD's for now. Carrie, your turn will come soon enough. | | Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 | | 10:51 pm |
Interesting...
After 3 albums, I decided to become more conscious about trying to keep a consistent tempo on my songs when recording my 4th album "Epic Fail." Mainly because I realized it was a place to improve. What's interesting about this is that I was just tonight doing a search for myself on The Mad Music Archive to see what came up, and found a post from a really honkin' long time ago (But I won't say who made it) about how a song of mine had the tempo all over the place, but was still a good song! It's amazing how I receive and react to constructive criticism without even knowing it's there! | | 3:01 pm |
???
They say "You are what you eat." How much eating of something does it take before you actually are that? And once you are that, if you continue to eat it, is it at this point cannibalism? I think of these things, and I have never done drugs! What is my problem? | | Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 | | 3:29 pm |
What am I doing?
I've heard that Twitter seems to be the new big thing right now. I looked at what it is, and it doesn't really appeal to me. However, from what I can see, it's appealed to a lot of people, many of whom update it with the strangest answers to "What are you doing?" I think I may make a song about that. And I'm thinking about having people record themselves answering "What are you doing?" that sort of mocks the whole thing (something along the lines of "I'm walking the dog. Why is it eyeing the fire hydrant?") or something like that. If anyone is interested, shoot me an email (GoCMoovees@insight.rr.com). I will see what I can get while I come up with words for the song itself. I've got a tune for it; hopefully no one else beats me to that particular tune. | | Friday, May 1st, 2009 | | 1:43 pm |

Question
If you mixed gasoline with water in a bucket and set a lighter to it, would the whole thing catch on fire or would the fire be put out? | | Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 | | 1:24 pm |
Random thought...
If Darth Vader married someone named Ella, her new name would be Ella Vader. If you don't get it, read it aloud. | | Sunday, April 5th, 2009 | | 2:00 pm |

TEN SONGS = EPIC WIN!!
As of today, Myspace artists can now have 10 songs on their profile instead of the standard 6. In response, I've reuploaded 4 songs on my profile! myspace.com/derwoodbowen | | Thursday, March 26th, 2009 | | 11:28 pm |
Wow. I feel like I'm changing somewhat...
So, I've got 5 tracks recorded now. It takes 2 and a half minutes to listen to them all! I feel like Alchav has brainwashed me now! lol I do have ideas for full-length songs, I just need the time to break from schoolwork to make them reality. | | Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 | | 12:24 pm |

Letters
Anyone else ever notice that there is only a one letter difference between "good" and "God?" Not only that, but there's also only a one letter difference between "devil" and "evil." Just thought I'd point that out. |
